Anthropologie Fitting Room Reviews

Interspersed Ponte Dress
I have one word for this dress...ITCHY!  I don't even really care how it looked on me, as soon as I got it on, I just wanted to take it off.  From what I can recall and also based on the photo, this dress fits TTS.

Atrament Maxi  sale $79.95
Although I'm not a maxi person but I must say this is a pretty fabulous one.  The ruched bodice is pretty and flattering.  I'm wearing XS and fit is pretty good.  I would highly recommend this dress if you are looking for a dressier maxi.  The only complain I have is with the length, I'm 5'6 and this dress was way too long for me, the hem was dragging.

Quilted Eclipse Blouse
I don't foresee this being a hot seller but I really really really liked this blouse.  The slightly puffed shoulders were feminine and not overwhelming.  The color was like a pinkish orange.  The quilting along the shoulders were padded, which I thought was quite cool.  I loved the snap buttons on the cuffs as well as on the body, they were functional and provided a great contrast to the blouse.  Lastly, this blouse is 100% silk and it was pretty darn good silk!  Very well made and very cute on.  I highly recommend this one.

Sugared Dress sale $99.95
The Sugared Dress received no shortage of love from the blogosphere.  I was never taken by it so expectation was low.  I can't say that I loved this dress but I kind of liked it.  To be frank, I didn't quite care for the top part of this dress at all,  I felt it was almost a size too big (I tried on size 0), the cap sleeves did nothing for me since they didn't really mold nicely to my shoulders.  The skirt was really pretty though and I would've loved to have tried it on with a sweater.  The print looked much nicer in person, I was surprised to see lots of pink in the pattern.

Outlined Celandine Cardi
This is a fabulous cardigan.  Fabric wasn't scratchy, but not terribly soft either.   I love everything about this sweater, the color, the fit, the look, everything.  I think this cardigan will be very versatile to style.  You can choose from skirts and pants, colored bottoms, to your basic black and greys, or denims.  I really love this cardigan and highly recommend it.

Granite Gilia Pullover
I am not a fan of this pullover.  This top is quite sheer so you need to wear a layer underneath, I didn't have anything readily available other than my own tank I wore that day.  This top doesn't do anything for me, there's nothing positive I can say about it.

Frilled Echelons Peacoat
I first reviewed this coat in turquoise size 0 here.  While I was in Anthro on the weekend I decided to try the Moss color in size 2.  The Moss color was surprising nice as well, I found myself liking it just as much.  The size 2 was noticeably bigger, especially in width.  I didn't think it was as flattering on as the size 0, so I would recommend to stick to your usual size.

OMG the Ponte dress (the first one) is the one I've been wanting to try for a long time and when you said it was itchy beyond belief, my jaw dropped to the ground. I'm also sensitive to wool or certain material so I guess it's going be a pass for me as well :( The cardigan is lovely on you! You have to get the frilled peacoat it's def up your alley (even in freezing Toronto).

Oh no, disappointed about the interspersed dress - such a beautiful dress, but ACK on the itchiness!

joelle, i have super sensitive skin therefore i have no tolerance for itchiness. i have no issue with the fit but omg was it ever awful against the skin. oh yeah that coat came home with me. i will wear it as a jacket/blazer not so much a coat.

steph, thanks u! if you ever try on any of same items and feel differently about them i'd love to hear your pov as well.

lisa, that dress was not itchy, it was ITCHY! hehe yeah such a shame, very beautiful dress in theory.

I'm always down for dress reviews and appreciate your take on them. The Interspersed Dress looked good on you, but itchy is itchy, and it definitely takes away from the dress.

hi joelle, yep u r absolutely right. thank you.

dee, u r very welcome. glad they helped.

jenn, my intolerance to itchiness is probably a bit extreme, so take it with a grain of salt. i have very sensitive and eczema prone skin.

What a pity! The Interspered Ponte dress looks lovely on you.

Did you end up getting the sugared dress?

I tried the Intersped Ponte Dress because it was so lovely on the mannequin at the store and you were RIGHT so darn ITCHY beyond belief. It's really too bad because it's a beautiful dress. :(
