Late to the party

Totally late to the Thakoon for Target party/bandwagon, but I am happy that I've arrived.  A big special thanks to my friend S who makes cross border online shopping possible for this Canadian shopaholic.

I have decided to keep the outfit neutral and instead of using the fabric sash as a belt I tied it into a bow around the collar.

While I am head over heels in love with this dress, I have to comment on the poor workmanship.  I was very disappointed to find lots of loose threads and unfinished stitches throughout the dress.  Even though this dress lacks in quality, the print and style is undeniably adorable.  I am beyond thrilled to have scored this from Target.com and welcome this new addition with open arms.

Also see Carol's (In Pursuit of Pretty Things) take on this dress here.

I am wearing:
Thakoon for Target dress.
Jcrew silver studded skinny belt.
Loeffler Randall Emmy boots in taupe.
Hue OTK socks.

That dress looks great with the taupe boots (which are fantastic btw, love the loeffler randall shoes and boots in general). It really does help to have someone across the border to assist with shipping. It can be so expensive to get things into Canada sometimes.

thanks jess: *sigh* yes life is indeed very tough for a canadian shopaholic. lol. yep, i'm very grateful for my lovely friend across the border.

desert flower: thank you. i am really loving otk socks too, think i need to stock up on more, esp the way the weather has been here.

alana: aww thanks. i love those LR boots too, so much so i bought them even though they are a 1/2 size too big, and prob still would've bought them even if they were 1/2 too small. haha

great photos! This is the only collaboration dress I was interested in- it's such a gorgeous colour and print, but oh how short it is!!

it is a bit short, but not too bad, i think it's the same length as my navy reed shirt dress. yes i agree, the color/print is awesome, nothing like i currently own. i think u too need it in your closet...*nudge nudge wink wink*
